Getting going
From nothing to a running bot, in four steps
-
Connect your Deriv account
Press Start. You sign in on Deriv's own page, not ours, so we never see your password.
-
Pick the account the bot uses
Deriv shows every account you hold. Choose the demo one for your first run.
-
Set stake, take profit and stop loss
Smallest stake to begin with. Both limits get set before you start, not after.
-
Start it, and let it stop itself
The bot halts the moment your take profit or your stop loss is reached.
Before your first run
Three things that decide how this goes
Set both limits, every time
A take profit and a stop loss are what turn a bot from something that trades until the balance runs out into something that trades a plan. When take profit is hit the bot stops automatically. So does stop loss. Neither works if you leave it blank.
Recovery needs balance behind it
Several of these bots use martingale — they raise the stake after a loss so one win recovers the run. That works right up until the balance cannot fund the next step. A small starting stake against a comfortable balance is the whole difference. What martingale really costs →
Free does not mean risk-free
The bots are free and they do take profitable trades — that has been tested. But every strategy has losing trades, and nobody can give you one that does not. Why no-loss bots do not exist →
Questions
Free Deriv bots, answered
Are the bots really free?
Yes. All eleven, free to run. No paid tier, no licence key, no subscription, no expiring trial. We never ask for card details because there is nothing to pay for.
Do I have to download anything?
No. They run in your browser. There is no installer, no XML file to import into Deriv Bot, and nothing to configure outside the page.
Which one should a beginner start with?
Smart Recovery Differ. Run it on demo first, smallest stake, with both limits set.
Do they work on a demo account?
Yes. Deriv lets you choose which of your accounts the bot uses, so you can watch one run on real market prices with no money at stake.
Can a bot withdraw from my account?
No. The permission you grant covers placing trades on the account you picked, not moving money out of it, and you can revoke it in Deriv's settings whenever you want.
How is this free — what is the catch?
Broker partner arrangements fund it, which is the ordinary way free trading tools are paid for. It costs you nothing extra, and it is why the bots are given away rather than sold.
